Red Is Supermodel Cindy Crawford’s Color in These 8 Throwback Snaps

Cindy Crawford is an icon who got her start in the industry as a teenager and quickly rose to supermodel status in the 1980s and ’90s. Whether her famed Pepsi Super Bowl commercial, voluminous blowout or many years as a swimsuit model first spring to mind, we all know and love Crawford.
The one-time SI Swimsuit model, who was featured in the 1988 issue after posing for Marc Hispard in Bangkok, Thailand, shared an Instagram carousel of throwback photos Wednesday that has us taking a trip down memory lane. In each of the pics, the 57-year-old mom of two wore red, proving that the hue is totally her color.
Crawford gave the camera her signature smolder in the first snap, in which she donned a red dress, perfectly accented with a crimson lip. The second photo was of the model’s iconic red Versace dress at the 63rd annual Oscars in 1991. She donned a short red bejeweled number in another and posed on the beach in both a red-and-black ensemble and a figure-hugging gown in others. The carousel also featured Crawford on the red carpet, seated for a photoshoot and strutting through a parking lot in a mini skirt and matching blazer.
